VISIT OF OUR ITALIAN COLLEAGUES

Eight teachers from the Istituto Comprensivo Gassino-Torinese have been doing jobshadowing in our school from the 13th to the 17th of March. Some of us had already been to their school last December and it has been a pleasure to meet them again. They took part in lessons and some cultural activities . It has an awesome and rewarding experience sharing this week , both for students and teachers.

THEATRE IN ENGLISH: THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

The students of 3rd and 4th of Eso went to Santiago for the play "The Phantom of the Opera". They were familiar with the story because they had read the book previously and they were delighted to see it on the stage. Our Italian colleagues accompanied us and after the play we went to visit the roofs of the cathedra. It was a great day!!

EMBRACE EQUITY (women's day 2023)

EEMBRACE EQUITY is the slogan chosen for this year and we wanted to show it in a video in which some of our students and teachers took part.Here are some of the photos that compose that video. Happy women's day!!

WOMEN'S DAY

I AM A WONDER WOMAN These are the wonder women that the students of 2nd of Eso have chosen . For most of them one woman in their family is a wonder woman: their mum, granny, sister, aunt... All of them are wonder women and we recognize their important role in our lives. THANKS TO ALL THOSE WONDER WOMEN!!

BEING ECOFRIENDLY

After discussing , in class, about environmental problems, the students of 2º of ESO raised awareness about it and decided to create some posters to display on the walls for the other students to be conscious about this issue.

STORY BOARDS

Once more the students of 3rd Eso have showed their artistic skills doing these wonderful storyboards after reading some children's tales. In groups they created the comics and they presented them to the rest of the class.

THEATRE IN ENGLISH

The students of 2º Eso travelled to Vigo to see a play in English "Treasure Island". They really enjoyed it and it was a great opportunity to improve their communication skills in English.

MLK'S DAY

To celebrate Martin Luther King's Day ( 16th January ) the students of 3rd of Eso have researched about this important man and after sharing their knowledge about him , they have created this collage with the help of the Art teacher. Thanks to all of them !!

CHRISTMAS CARD EXCHANGE

This year we have continued exchanging Christmas Cards with Portugal, Romania and Italy. The students have designed beautiful cards in the Art class and they have written Christmas messages in Gallego, Spanish and English. In exchange we have received these beatiful Christmas from the three mentioned countries . Our students were really excited when they got them!!!

HOW FILIPINOS CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS

Thanks to Nino, our language assistant, we have known about how filipinos celebrate Christmas and New Year. Some traditions are similar to ours but they also have their own traditions.It is a good thing being aware of the different cultures around us. Thanks Nino!!!

HALLOWEEN 2022

This year we have been able to celebrate Halloween again!!!! As usual our students have put on their creepest costumes and there has been many enchanted activities : Nino has told us a horror story of the filipino tradition and our students have told "Os sesos do morto" both in gallego and English , in the library. It has been a terrific day!!!!!

Day of European Languages 2022

To conmemorate the Day of European Languages the students of 3ESO have created this exhibition with famous quotes by different personalities (Einstein, Descartes, Oscar Wilde...).

The quotes are in the original language, English and Spanish.

O Día Europeo das Linguas celébrase o 26 de Setembro por iniciativa do Consello de Europa, para poñer en valor a diversidade lingüística europea e para promover a aprendizaxe de idiomas.

Para festexar esta data, os alumnos de Inglés de 3º da ESO fixeron un taboleiro no que escribiron algunhas citas famosísimas de personaxes célebres no seu idioma orixinal así coma en Inglés e en Español.

A Xunta, o Consello de Europa, o Instituto Cervantes e moitas outras organizacións tamén propoñen todos os anos algunhas actividades para celebrar este día... para saber máis PREMEDE NESTE LINK!

SAINT PATRICK'S DAY

The students of 4th of Eso designed this interesting poster after reading a book about Ireland. Now we all know a bit more about Irish culture. The teacher of Art , Sara, has helped them to create this beautiful poster.
