MLK'S DAY

The3rd Monday of January is a special day in the USA. They celebrate Martin Luther King's Day . We also wanted to commemorate it and for this reason the students of 3th ESO B looked for some information and did these nice posters to display on the library board, so that everyone can know a bit more about such a brave man.

SPECIAL VISITORS

Today we have been lucky to have two American girls at our school. Thanks to Chus, the Maths teacher who invited them, we had the pleasure of listening to them talking about different aspects of a teenager life in the USA. Our ESO students had the opportunity of asking them anything they were curious about their country. Thanks a lot!!!

CHRISTMAS CARD EXCHANGE

As usual we have done a Christmas card exchange with our friends schools from Czech Republic, Portugal and Italy. This year the students of 5th and 6th grade also participated, they were really enthusiastic!!! It's great to know about our friends!!!

FAMOUS FAMILIES

The students of 1º ESO B have done a great work about literary families. They created a booklet with images and information about the members of famous literary or television families. Greatjob!!!

OUR FAVOURITE LITERARY CHARACTERS - 3º ESO

The characters in the books we read, sometimes have similar lives to ours but in other occassions they are quite different to us. Here are the favourite characters of the students in 3º ESO and some basic facts about them. Great work!!

European Day of Languages

As every year we like to raise awareness of the great variety of languages that surround us besides the cultural aspects of them.The students have created a wonderful picture , thanks to Teresa the Arts teacher and added some sticky notes saying "hello" in many different languages.

CAVIARDAGE

When the Italian teachers visited our school, the English teacher Silvia, brought some works that her students had done. They used a tecnique called caviardage, consisting in selecting some words from a text and create a poem with these words. Our students of 2nd ESo have also created beatiful caviardages with a text about happiness , since last 20th March was the International Day of Happiness. We have sent our works to Italy , so the Italian students can see them. It has been a great experience!!! Their text was about puffins and these are the beautiful works that they did and also the letter they wrote .

VISIT OF OUR ITALIAN COLLEAGUES

Eight teachers from the Istituto Comprensivo Gassino-Torinese have been doing jobshadowing in our school from the 13th to the 17th of March. Some of us had already been to their school last December and it has been a pleasure to meet them again. They took part in lessons and some cultural activities . It has an awesome and rewarding experience sharing this week , both for students and teachers.

THEATRE IN ENGLISH: THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

The students of 3rd and 4th of Eso went to Santiago for the play "The Phantom of the Opera". They were familiar with the story because they had read the book previously and they were delighted to see it on the stage. Our Italian colleagues accompanied us and after the play we went to visit the roofs of the cathedra. It was a great day!!

EMBRACE EQUITY (women's day 2023)

WOMEN'S DAY

I AM A WONDER WOMAN These are the wonder women that the students of 2nd of Eso have chosen . For most of them one woman in their family is a wonder woman: their mum, granny, sister, aunt... All of them are wonder women and we recognize their important role in our lives. THANKS TO ALL THOSE WONDER WOMEN!!

BEING ECOFRIENDLY

After discussing , in class, about environmental problems, the students of 2º of ESO raised awareness about it and decided to create some posters to display on the walls for the other students to be conscious about this issue.
