The students of 1º Eso have recorded some videos explaining how to make delicious recipes. They are great chefs!!!1

MUSIC OF THE 20TH CENTURY

This school year the school library has proposed the theme of "Music of the 20th century", for this reason, the students of 4th Eso have carried out a project about it.
They did different tasks:
-A video with information about their favourite bands (with activities for their mates)
-A poster advertising a concert
-A cd cover
-A video singing one song of their favourite bands (they are really funny!!!!)

THE RHYTHM OF WOMEN

The students of 2º ESO  did these interesting posters based on the books "Good Night Stories for Rebel  Girls " (vol. 1 and 2 ).They are about famous women singers from the XX century, as this is the topic of the school library for this year.

BE GREEN

We all know that it is really important to be eco-friendly to preserve the planet , for this reason the students of 2nd ESO have created these posters in which they give us some advice to help the environment in our daily life.

WOMEN'S DAY

Next Friday 8th March we celebrate women's day. To commemorate it we have done these videos about two famous Galician women: Concepción Arenal and Rosalía de Castro and we have participated in an etwinning project about this.

ST.Valentine's Day

To celebrate this day the students of 3º ESO have participated in an ETWINNING project exchanging St.Valentine's cards with students from other countries . They have created beautiful cards with the Art teacher , Sara, and they have written love poems, in English, on them.

They have also done a padlet with information about different aspects of this celebration,

PEACE DAY

30th January we celebrated Peace Day and the ESO students sang the song Imagine beautifully. Thanks to our music teacher Javi. Great job!!!

MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY

MLK  DAY

It is an American Federal Day that conmemorates the birth of Luther King (he was an activist in the Civil Rights Movement).
It is celebrated on the third Monday of January , so this year it's on 21st .

The studets of 1ºESO created these beatiful crafts with the help of the Art teacher , Sara. They also wrote in English their DREAMS.

CHRISTMAS CARDS EXCHANGE

This year we have made our first eTwinning project .It was a Christmas Card Exchange with many schools around Europe.
The students that took part in the project were those in the Biligual Section of Art of 3ºEso and also some students of 1º ESO.
The cards are really nice. Thanks to Sara, the Art teacher.

STOP BULLYING

STOP BULLYING

This year Anti-bulling week is celebrated from Monday 12th November to Friday 16th.

We have been working on this topic to make everyone conscious about the importance of this problem either if you are a bully ,  a bystander or victim of bullying. 

The students of 4th Eso have made these creative posters about the subject.

BONFIRE NIGHT

BONFIRE NIGHT

On November 5th British people remember the spectacular attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament by celebrating ‘Bonfire Night’. All over Britain there are firework displays and bonfires with models of Guy Fawkes which are burned on the fire. It’s normally quite cold on Bonfire Night so people wear warm clothes, hats, scarves and gloves to spend the evening outside. Traditional Bonfire Night food is jacket potatoes and toffee apples. This year is the 400th anniversary of the Gunpowder Plot and there are special events being held in London to remember the events of 1605.

This is a popular rhym that people say on that night:

Remember, Remember the fifth of November,

 Gunpowder, treason and plot.

 I see no reason why gunpowder treason

 Should ever be forgot…

We also had our special commemoration of the event!!!

Just to get to  know each other a bit better , the students of 1º ESO have paired to interview their peers and write their biographies. They have been displayed on the walls so that everyone could read them .

WELCOME BACK

WELCOME BACK!!!

Holidays came to an end and we are here again to work and enjoy together. The new school year 2018-19 begins  and I hope you learn a lot.
But to get a good start let me tell you some great news. Do you remember the project on commercials we did last school year together with the Art department? Well we have just known that............
WE WERE AWARDED THE FIRST PRIZE!!!!!
